The Director of Business Development is responsible for growing and closing all new carrier-based opportunities of existing TailWind client accounts and with targeting new clients to meet company and individual revenue goals. Monthly sales quota must be achieved through focus on building relationships and acquiring new clients. Possess ability to communicate technically around our product set.

This job primarily operates in a professional office environment, but the demands of travel expose the Directors of Business Development to a variety of environments. The role routinely involves use of standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, filing cabinets and fax machines.
When in the office, this is largely a sedentary role with some minor filing required. This requires the ability to lift files, open filing cabinets and bend or stand as necessary. However, for travel to visit clients, attend or present at conferences, and participate in training and other sales activities, the position will involve extensive walking, standing, and other standard travel-related activities.
This is a full-time position. 40+ hours per week are expected. Days and hours of work are generally Monday through Friday during normal business hours, with additional hours needed for travel and as business demands dictate.
This position generally requires 40-50% travel related to client development, tradeshows, and conferences.
